Teaching Philosophy

Julie Bauer brings an empathetic, internationally shaped educational approach to the GERMAN SCHOOL campus. Born in Munich, Germany, she is a Certified Kindergarten, Preschool, after School care and Children’s home Teacher. Global positions in Germany, Shanghai, Tennessee, and Southern California shaped her high level of cultural intelligence. She teaches children, expat families, and professionals.

Her focus centers on her proprietary “Effective Learning” method—an experience-based framework combining motivation, focus, and creative relaxation. Julie teaches German as naturally as children acquire their native language: vibrant, practical, and tailored to the individual.

As an author and artist, she creatively connects language learning with her background. Guided by empathy and strong values, she builds student confidence while inspiring a lasting appreciation for the German language and culture.
