Breydon placed his first high-profile remix of Billie Eilish’s mega-hit Ocean Eyes on Apple and Spotify in 2018 after securing enthusiastic approval from Eilish’s management team and Universal Music Group. His subsequent remix of UK pop star Maisie Peter’s Adore You with almost 300,000 spotify.com plays has gained Breydon notoriety in the remix world, giving him a platform to help LA non-profits with original scores for educational/promotional videos, including My Friends Place and Los Angeles Cayton Children’s Museum. He DJ’ed for Pasadena-based Club Moai, a social group for teens with special needs, and The National Service League, Pasadena Chapter, for the Class of 2022 Fashion Show in 2019. In addition, Breydon partnered with Rachel Barcellona’s non-profit, Ability Beyond Disabilities to raise autism awareness in Pasadena, CA.
When not creating, playing, or performing, Breydon can be found immersed in his studies at Pasadena Polytechnic School. At Poly he is a member of the Judiciary Review Committee, a faculty/student committee that evaluates academic and ethical infractions and recommends appropriate disciplinary action, and is a Cabinet Member of the Associated Student Body. He will be playing his third season as a member of the Varsity Basketball Team that won the CIF Southern Section Championship in 2021. Breydon intends to study music in the Fall of 2022 and as part of his preparation for a four-year music program, enrolled in multiple pre-college courses over the last three summers, including liberal arts classes at Brown University and music intensives at Carnegie-Mellon University and The Berklee College of Music.
Breydon’s entire musical focus is sharpening his instrument proficiency, sight-reading, orchestrating skills, and original composition. Working closely with composer Mark Roos in intense weekly sessions, Breydon is gaining the required compositional/technical skills to continue his passion for contributing to his community whether at home in Southern California or on campus at his college destination.
