Easter Eggstravaganza 2024

Easter Eggstravaganza 2024 took place in the Banquet Hall of Old World on Saturday, March 30th, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Inclement weather necessitated the relocation of the event indoors. Upon arrival, families were provided with tickets granting access to various activities, including a raffle and children’s activities.

Reflecting a cherished German tradition, Frau Wuerfler contributed 120 hard-boiled eggs for the Easter egg coloring station, offering children the opportunity to engage in this classic pastime. Additionally, Frau Schoeneich orchestrated the Potato Sack Hop, a lively activity wherein children, categorized by age groups ranging from 4 to 13, enthusiastically participated in sack races around a course adorned with cones. A similarly engaging challenge awaited participants at the Egg Balancing station, where they endeavored to balance a wooden egg on a spoon while navigating the designated course.

The event further catered to creative inclinations through the art of face painting, overseen with finesse by Frau Schmelzle, who adorned eager young faces with captivating designs.

Anticipation mounted as attendees eagerly awaited the commencement of the Easter egg hunt within the Banquet Hall. With excitement palpable, children eagerly sought out and collected filled eggs to fill their baskets, with the hunt unfolding in stages to accommodate different age groups. Approximately 500 stuffed eggs were strategically dispersed throughout the venue, ensuring ample opportunity for all participants to partake in the thrill of the hunt.

Culminating the festivities was the highly anticipated Easter basket raffle, with three meticulously curated baskets up for grabs, two of which featured original plush bunnies from the esteemed German company “Steiff.” The winners, announced to much excitement, left the event elated with their prized baskets in tow.
