The Legend of the Osterhase

Did you know the “Easter Bunny” is a German tradition? First recorded in 1682 as the Osterhase, German immigrants brought this custom to America in the 1700s. At our festival, children don’t just find eggs—they learn the cultural significance behind them and participate in the beautiful art of Ostereier (hand-decorated eggs).

As a WASC-accredited school and Licensed ÖSD Exam Centre, we believe language learning is incomplete without cultural immersion. Our students help organize these events to build leadership skills and share our heritage with the Orange County community while working toward their official German Language Certification.
