SPARK at GERMAN SCHOOL campus
SPARK for German is an initiative created through the collaboration of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Goethe-Institut. Its primary goal is to support the professional development of aspiring German educators and introduce German language learning to students across the United States at an early stage. SPARK offers engaging and interactive German lessons in after-school programs, providing students with the opportunity to learn the language from a young age and progress in their proficiency. The overarching objective of SPARK is to increase the demand for German language education and establish the capability to seamlessly integrate German into the regular curriculum of immersion, elementary, middle, and high school programs.
The Goethe-Institut and the AATG express their gratitude for the enthusiastic support received by the SPARK program from educational institutions at all levels. Of particular note is the deep appreciation for the significant endorsement provided by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, whose generous assistance enables them to ignite enthusiasm for the German language within communities across the entire United States.
