We are proud to offer Spanish to our students.

Elementary classes (3-5)

In the beginner class, we cover questions like

  • How are you?
  • What is your name?
  • Where do you live?
  • How old are you?
  • When is your birthday?
  • What season of the year is that?
  • What is the weather like?
  • What do you like to do?
  • What do you like to eat?
  • Where do you go?
  • What are you like?
  • What is your family like?

At the intermediate level, those topics will be revisited to gain more depth. We will also talk about

  • School
  • Well-being
  • the house & chores
  • geography & animals
  • vacation

Middle School (6-8) uses the book Así se dice

Beginner Spanish

  • What do I like to eat?
  • What kind of sports do I participate in?

Intermediate Spanish

This is a proficiency-based program which, while emphasizing listening and speaking skills, puts increasing emphasis on reading and writing. In addition to the basic texts, support materials include student worksheets, classroom audio files, videos, and online components. In addition to acquiring specific language skills, other goals include developing a positive attitude toward learning a world language, studying world cultures, and accepting the cultural diversity that exists in the world.
