School Policies & Enrollment
Official Terms for Classes & ÖSD Exams • Last Updated July 2026
1. Admission & Enrollment
Admission to German School Campus is finalized upon receipt of full tuition and a completed registration form.
- Administration Fee: A non-refundable $100 fee applies to all scheduled language class registrations.
2. Language Class Refund Policy
Important Notice
Withdrawal requests for classes must be submitted in writing. Refunds (minus the $100 administration fee) are only available before the program starts. No refunds are granted after the second scheduled class session.
3. ÖSD Exam Terms (Certification)
ÖSD Finality Agreement
As a Licensed ÖSD Exam Centre, we provide state-approved testing that aligns with strict international certification guidelines. Once an exam date is confirmed:
- No Cancellations: Confirmed exams cannot be canceled.
- No Refunds: There are strictly no refunds or fee roll-overs for ÖSD Exam bookings.
- No Rescheduling: Exam dates are final upon confirmation. Unexcused absence results in immediate forfeiture of all fees and a failed attempt.
4. Attendance & Medical Note Policy
Punctuality is critical. Students are required to arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled class time. Individual student absences do not entitle the student to make-up sessions or financial compensation.
Excused Absence & Exam Exceptions
A make-up exam or an officially excused status is granted only under extraordinary, documented medical emergencies or severe family crises. To be valid:
- Prior Written Notice: Parents or students must notify the school administration via email before the class or exam start time.
- Official Medical Certificate: For medical absences, a physical Doctor’s Note must be submitted within three (3) business days of the missed session.
- Validity Window: The doctor’s note must be signed and dated by a licensed health professional on the exact day of the absence. Backdated notes will not be honored.
- School Report Impact: Any “no show” missing this valid documentation will be recorded as an unexcused “Non-Attendance” on the student’s official School Report (Zeugnis).
5. Online School Program & 15-Minute Rule
The online curriculum operates on a strict, fixed calendar. Because courses run sequentially, there are absolutely no cancellations, individual rescheduling, or make-up classes allowed for online courses.
The Strict 15-Minute Login Rule
To preserve academic structure and respect the instructor’s time, online classrooms adhere to a strict lockout timeframe:
- Waiting Windows: The instructor will remain live in the online classroom room for exactly 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.
- Classroom Closure: If the student fails to log in within those first 15 minutes, the live session is automatically closed and terminated.
- No Extended Waiting: The teacher cannot and will not wait longer than 15 minutes. Missing this window counts as an unexcused absence, the lesson is forfeited, and no make-up session will be given.
- Asynchronous Learning: The student remains entirely responsible for reviewing missed course materials independently.
6. Code of Conduct
Mutual respect is mandatory. Students must respect school property, peers, and instructors, and use the German language environment constructively. Failure to comply may lead to disciplinary dismissal without a refund.
7. Liability & Safety
Parents agree to hold German School Campus and its facility partners harmless for any physical injuries or lost personal property. For on-campus classes, students must be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class time.
8. Media Consent
By enrolling, you grant the school permission to utilize classroom photographs or videos for official school promotional and educational publications. To opt-out, please submit a written request to the school administration prior to the start of the semester.
