This week at the German School Campus, the children in the elementary school continued working on their German project, where each child is presenting a different federal state. They will showcase their respective states to friends and family at the school’s graduation ceremony.

In the middle school in Aliso Viejo, we had our final session together this week. In a cozy atmosphere called “Kaffeeklatsch,” we reflected on the topics covered in the past weeks and discussed what the children have already learned. One of the parents prepared a traditional Iranian dish for this occasion, which added a special touch to our gathering. The students also received their certificates for completing the German Spark classes. It was a proud moment as their hard work and progress in learning the German language were showcased. I feel honored to have been a part of their language-learning experience.

We also celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week at the Pacific Coast Church Campus. Each day, a new buffet was organized by the parents exclusively for teachers as a token of gratitude. It was a fantastic way to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the educators.

On Wednesday, I had the opportunity to conduct my teaching session with the high school students. We had a grammar quiz, and it was a wonderful experience that brought joy to both the students and myself.

In the cooking classes, we continued to focus on balanced and healthy meals. This week, we prepared salmon salad, and the children were particularly excited about it. For many of them, it was their first time cooking fish themselves.

To conclude the week, I attended a baseball game with the Angels in Anaheim with some American friends, who kindly explained the basic rules to me. It was an incredible experience, and we had a blast cheering for the team. Of course, I couldn’t miss out on having a traditional hotdog at the game. As the game wrapped up, a spectacular firework display lit up the night sky, adding a perfect ending to an unforgettable evening.
