Weekly Report Week 12
Road Trip Highlights: National Parks & Route 66
This week has been an exciting one for me as I embarked on a short road trip over the long Memorial Day weekend to explore some amazing destinations around California and its neighboring states. It was a whirlwind of excitement and breathtaking nature.
National Park Wonders: Zion & Bryce
Our first stop was Zion Canyon, where we stayed in a cozy Tiny House. The beauty and grandeur of the towering cliffs and vibrant colors left a lasting impression. Next, we headed to Bryce Canyon, where we had the unique opportunity to spend a night in a tipi. Exploring the trails and hoodoos—the distinct reddish rock formations—was a feast for the eyes.
Antelope Canyon & Monument Valley
From there, we continued to Page to visit Antelope Canyon and Monument Valley. The narrow sandstone walls and the interplay of light and shadow in the canyon were simply mesmerizing, while the vast desert landscapes of Monument Valley offered a sense of profound tranquility.
The Neon Lights of Vegas & Route 66
Before heading back to Newport Beach, we spent a night in Las Vegas. The city that never sleeps dazzled us with its vibrant energy and endless lights. Of course, we couldn’t miss driving a stretch of the famous Route 66—a must-do on any proper road trip through the USA. The nostalgia and charm of this iconic highway added a special touch to our journey.
