Award Day at German School Campus – Celebrating the Class of 2025
n Saturday, June 7th, we gathered for a proud and deeply meaningful occasion at German School Campus: our annual Award Day, led by our founder and principal, Frau Ursula Schoeneich. It was a joyful moment to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students, especially those graduating from high school this year.
This year’s Class of 2025 truly represents the values of our school: academic excellence, cultural connection, and global citizenship. These remarkable students have shown dedication, discipline, and heart throughout their journey with the German language.
We proudly recognize the accomplishments of our five graduating seniors:
- Emma Kelly
- Maia Metz-Tolliver
- Alexander Fessl-Tuck
- Aydin Ucer
- Luca Ucer
In addition, Emma Kelly was honored with the “Outstanding High School Senior German Award” for her academic excellence and leadership—an inspiring recognition of her commitment to German studies and community involvement.
Beyond academics, all graduates engaged in meaningful service projects as members of the German Honor Society Delta Epsilon Phi, including:
As Gabi Maiss-Minkler, Fachberaterin of the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA), beautifully stated in a letter:
Learning a language takes patience and passion. As Nelson Mandela once said, It always seems impossible until it is done.’ And you did it — all of you.
And in the words in a letter of Consul General Andrea Sasse from the German Consulate General in Los Angeles:
May your diplomas be a stepping stone to even greater accomplishments, and may your bilingual abilities continue to open doors to exciting opportunities. Please continue your engagement with the German language and culture and help build bridges between our two countries. I wish you all the very best for a bright and promising future.”
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers, Alexandra Wuerfler and Sarah Schmelzle, to Coach Max, and especially to our wonderful intern Annika Erhardt, who supported our classes and led the forest project with passion and care.
A sincere thank you to all families for your ongoing support and presence on this special day.
Indeed, our students are building bridges between languages, communities, and countries. Their compassion, perseverance, and global outlook will guide them on paths of success and purpose.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Class of 2025!
